Bobby Banerjee is the founder of HAPI Testing and Elev8 Learning, solving global recruitment training problems and working with agencies across the STEM, Professional Services, and Executive Search markets.
Over the past decade Bobby has delivered more than 1,000 days of recruiter training and performance coaching, working with organisations ranging from early-stage startups to recruitment firms generating over £500m in revenue.
During that time he assessed and coached more than 2,000 recruiters, studying the behaviours that separate consistent billers from those who struggle to build momentum.
One pattern kept appearing. Success in recruitment rarely comes down to background, qualifications, or interview confidence. It comes down to behaviour.
The recruiters who consistently succeed tend to demonstrate three qualities: proactivity in creating opportunities, strategic thinking about their market, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and candidates.
These patterns became the foundation of the PSR model, Proactive, Strategic, Relationship-driven, that now underpins the HAPI Test.
Before creating HAPI, Bobby designed multiple recruiter academies and behavioural competency frameworks that helped recruitment businesses halve ramp-up time and increase billings per head by 30–40 percent.
To support the development of HAPI, Bobby also undertook advanced training in data analytics and AI, studying tools such as Python, SQL, and Power BI so behavioural data can be analysed and connected to real business outcomes such as performance, retention, and growth.
Alongside his work in behavioural assessment, Bobby is a regular speaker at recruitment industry events including the Recruitment Agency Expo, an advisor to organisations such as REC, TRN, and APSCo, and the founder of The Recruitment Curry Club, one of the industry’s fastest-growing communities.
He built the foundations of HAPI during 2024 while undergoing cancer treatment, driven by a belief that recruitment businesses deserve better tools to understand and develop their people.
